The potential role of GNSS-RO data in the IPCC AR6 report

I will present on the structure of the IPCC AR6 report on which I am a Coordinating Lead Author for the chapter dealing with global changes. There are many aspects upon which GNSS-RO can potentially contribute. Particular interest is in tropical tropospheric lapse rates, UTLS humidity and changes in stratospheric temperatures. The current sttae of knowledge from other observational techniques will be outlined to highlight where and why GNSS-RO data may add value.
