Talk

Since June 2018 the Met Office and Spire have been working together to assess the quality of RO data produced from Spire’s 3U cubesat constellation. Within the duration of the study it is expected that the constellation will produce more observations per day than the current operational network. The work has involved the Met Office providing regular feedback on the performance of observations, which has led to various improvements in the data processing. Some of the issues that have occurred will be covered, along with the current status of the quality assessment. Some thoughts on the future will also be offered.
[Spire contributions to this work are under a programme of and funded by the European Space Agency.]
