| Dear ROM SAF GTS User Issued: 2024-10-15 11:02 UTC The ROM SAF NRT production and dissemination of NOAA-procured PlanetiQ data started today. Please see the earlier announcement here: https://rom-saf.eumetsat.int/view_notification.php?id=1971, and see the EUMETSAT announcement (below). The NOAA-procured PlanetiQ data are part of the 4th Delivery Order (DO-4) under Radio Occultation Data Buy II (RODB-2). Please see the announcement from NOAA here: https://www.space.commerce.gov/noaa-awards-4th-delivery-order-under-radio-occultation-data-buy-ii/ The NOAA-procured data are made available to EUMETSAT and BUFR files are available in NRT on EUMETCast. The ROM SAF products contain vertical profiles of atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity and refractivity. The data generation is based on the Level 1B NRT data (bending angle) generated by the EUMETSAT Secretariat from the NOAA-procured PlanetiQ data, and includes a copy of the EUMETSAT Secretariat NRT bending angle. The ROM SAF PlanetiQ products are provided with the status “demonstration”.
