Subject: Metop 7 GRAS Data Outage on Saturday, 20th March 2010
Date: 2010-03-22 09:29
Dear all,

during the night from Friday (19.03.2010) to Saturday (20.03.2010), the EPS data downlink station
located at Svalbard suffered from a misconfiguration and lossed of four orbits of Metop-A science
data (between 23:29 and 06:26 UTC). As a consequence, no higher level data products were
produced for all Metop instruments including GRAS.

After level 0 data became available again, the GRAS POD recovered as usual, and data quality
had reached nominal levels again around 11:00 UTC. Note, however, that the GRAS level 1B data
products continued to be flagged as poor until ~ 14:30 UTC.

We apologize for any inconveniences that this data outage might have caused on your side.

Regards,

 Christian.
