Subject: Degraded GRAS data due to Metop maneouvre on Thursday, 10 June 2010
From: Christian Marquardt
Date: 2010-06-07 15:24 UTC

Dear all,

next Thursday, 10. June 2010, the Metop satellite will undergo a routine
in-plane maneouvre starting at 13:31:45 UTC.

As a consequence, the GRAS processing will experience a reset of its
Precise Orbit determination (POD) system, and level 1 data will be degraded
quality for a couple of hours. In particular, all bending angle data will
be flagged as 'bad' for up to 8 hours after the event. As the data is
sufficiently flagged, we do not intent to stop the dissemination of GRAS
data this time; please notify meimmediately if this is a problem for
your setup.

I will keep you informed on Thursday once the maneouvre has taken place,
and also as soon as data quality is back to nominal.

With kind regards,

 Christian.
