Description
Dear GRAS SAF GTS user Issued: 2010-06-17 12:00 UTC GRAS level 1b data was degraded yesterday between approximate sensing times 09:30 UTC and 20:50 UTC. GRAS SAF level 2 data was flagged accordingly. Please see detailed message from Eumetsat below. Kind regards The GRAS SAF Team Forwarded message: Subject: GRAS degraded products yesterday, 16.06.2010 From: Christian Marquardt Date: 2010-06-17 11:17 UTC Dear all, unfortunately, we have to report on an extended period of degraded GRAS level 1 data that started yesterday morning around 09:30 UTC. The bending angle data quality was flagged as 'degraded' until (about) 20:50 UTC sensing time. The reason was a series of short interruptions in the level 0 data flow due to ground system maintainance work being carried out. These data gaps then triggered POD resets, which in turn resulted in the data quality degradation. Data quality has actually been back to nominal since the late afternoon, but our current flagging system is conservative. We do apologize. Christian. -- Dr. Christian Marquardt, Polar System Product Expert EUMETSAT, Am Kavalleriesand 31, D-64295 Darmstadt, Germany
