Subject: GRAS degraded products yesterday, 16.06.2010

Dear all,

unfortunately, we have to report on an extended period of degraded GRAS
level 1 data that started yesterday morning around 09:30 UTC. The bending
angle data quality was flagged as 'degraded' until (about) 20:50 UTC
sensing time.

The reason was a series of short interruptions in the level 0 data flow
due to ground system maintainance work being carried out. These data
gaps then triggered POD resets, which in turn resulted in the data
quality degradation.

Data quality has actually been back to nominal since the late afternoon,
but our current flagging system is conservative.

We do apologize.

 Christian.
