Subject: RE: Upgrade of GPS orbit processing for GRAS - finished!
From: Christian Marquardt

Dear all,

the upgrade of the GRAS Ground Support Network (GSN) was smoothly carried out earlier
today; no problems or any interruption of the GRAS level 1 processing occurred.

The new version of the GSN auxiliary data became available for measurements at and after
06:09:00 UTC (on 20/07/2010). For a short period of time (06:39:00 UTC), the GRAS data
processing operated on predicted Metop orbits, so there a small chance of having a few
degraded occultations during this period.

For measurements at and after 06:39:00 UTC, the GRAS processing used an orbit with nominal
quality again, and the radio occultation data quality also appears to be fine.

Thanks to our kind colleagues from GSN at ESOC who made this switch a really nice and painless
experience - and also to those here at Eumetsat who helped us a lot as well (Yago and Andreas,
that's you!).

Kind regards,

 Christian.
