| Dear ROM SAF GTS User Issued : 2024-08-14 10:50 UTC On 20 August, the ROM SAF will make a small update to the NRT processing systems for both Spire and Metop. For Spire this includes both the Spire data procured by EUMETSAT and the Spire data procured by NOAA, but made available to EUMETSAT. The update will fix a bug introduced in GPAC 3.4, where occasionally (in a few percent of cases for Metop -- much less for Spire) the encoding of the time in the ROM SAF BUFR products (in BUFR sections 1 and 4) is set to a date and time about 3 years in the past.
