| Change to Commercial RO data from NOAA and upstream ROM SAF Level 2 data |

| Dear ROM SAF GTS User Issued : 2024-09-16 12:42 UTC On 18 September 2024 there will be a change in the commercial data procured by NOAA. Please see the EUMETSAT announcement here (and below): https://user.eumetsat.int/news-events/news/change-to-commercial-ro-data-from-noaa The ROM SAF is (like the EUMETSAT Secretariat) preparing to process the PlanetiQ data to Level 2 variables. We expect to start dissemination of the ROM SAF BUFR for the PlanetiQ data as soon as possible after the data have been released by EUMETSAT Secretariat. The PlanetiQ data will be disseminated on EUMETCast on the same channel as the current Spire data. The Spire data stream will continue, but with reduced numbers (cf. the announcement).
