Dear GRAS SAF GTS user Issued: 2011-08-22 11:08 UTC The EUMETSAT Central Applications Facility (CAF) GRAS level 1b BUFR file will change contents on 24 Aug 2011. For more information see the forwarded message from EUMETSAT below. The GRAS SAF level 2 BUFR file will not be affected by this upgrade. FUTURE EVENTS METOP AND NOAA GLOBAL DATA SERVICE 06 September 2011 The GOME-2 level 1b processor will be upgraded to version 5.2.0. The upgrade will improve the radiometric calibration of polarisation measurement device data. Level 1B main channel data are unaffected. For details please refer to the GOME-2 Newsletter #26 on PMD absolute radiometric calibration (www.eumetsat.int > Service Status > Product Quality Monitoring > GOME-2 Newsletter). November 2011 As of November 2011 EUMETSAT will compress the EPS data that are in the Native/PFS format before the data is sent to users via EUMETCast.
