Issued 2011-10-26 11:15 UTC
The current outage of GRAS SAF data is due to the previously announced update of the GRAS instrument and the subsequent outage of upstream GRAS level 1b data. The outage is NOT due to an anomaly in the GRAS SAF production.
Concerning the instrument update, please see the latest news from EUMETSAT below.

Dear all,
just a quick update on the GRAS onboard software patch: v1.10 has been uploaded to the instrument, and our instrument engineers are currently checking that the patch arrived correctly on the instrument. If all goes well, GRAS will be switched on during the next contact, and back into occultation mode around 12:33 UTC.
