| Dear ROM SAF GTS User Issued: 2013-01-11 14:00 UTC Starting Monday next week (2012-01-14), EUMETSAT will start a test campaign using the GRAS instrument on Metop-B. The dissemination of ROM SAF level 2 Metop-B products will stop with the onset of the test and the dissemination will not start again until we have re-validated our Metop-B products. A new notification will be issued when we begin to disseminate Metop-B level 2 products again. The test campaign will not influence the operational Metop-A level 2 ROM SAF products. Please see detailed message from EUMETSAT below. Kind Regards The ROM SAF Team Forwarded Message: Subject: Reminder: GRAS Receiver Parameter Tests in January 2013 From: Christian Marquardt Date: 2012-01-09 20:19 UTC Dear all, this is just to remind you that we will perform onboard software parameter updates to the GRAS instrument on Metop-B starting next Monday, 14.01.2013, which will continue throughout the coming two to three weeks. The parameter test campaign aims at reducing the number of data gaps in both the closed and open loop measurements of the GRAS instruments. No data from GRAS/Metop-B will be available during this period; you can find more details in my mail from late December repeated below. The operational GRAS/Metop-A data will NOT be affected by this campaign. With kind regards, Christian. |
