| Upgrade of ROM SAF Metop-A and B NRT production related to ECMWF Cy38r2 upgrade |

| Dear ROM SAF GTS User Issued: 2013-06-19 13:22 UTC On Thursday, June 20, 2013, the ROM SAF upgrades the NRT production. This upgrade is relevant for the NRT refractivity products (GRM-01 and GRM-40) and is described in detail in this notification from June 18: http://www.romsaf.org/view_notification.php?id=429 In addition, this upgrade also prepares the NRT production for both Metop-A and B for the shift from 91 to 137 model levels of the ECMWF forecast (Cy38r2) scheduled to take place on June 25, 2013. The ROM SAF NRT background profiles will follow the ECMWF level structure and shift to 137 levels simultaneously, and the production and quality control will henceforth be based on the new ECMWF model output.
