| Dear ROM SAF Data User Issued: 2016-02-25 12:15 UTC As previously announced, the following postponed upgrade will be performed: The ROM SAF is planning a maintenance upgrade of the NRT processing system on 2016-02-29 The data quality will not change, but there will be a few changes in the NetCDF files content: 1) Use of ROPP 7.1 for the generation of NetCDF files. This includes more variables (for future use) and the correction of an error in the azimuth angle in the so-called wet files. 2) The inclusion of a variable called alt_diag in the wet files that relates the diagnostics with dimension 'dim_010' to altitude above the geoid. Besides these changes, the 1Dvar solution for occultations that fail the 1Dvar QC will now also be available, but with a pcd value in the wet files indicating that the data are non-nominal. A confirmation will be sent out after the upgrade. With kind regards The ROM SAF team |
