| Dear ROM SAF GTS User Issued: 2016-04-28 21:10 UTC Following the change of the GRAS processing software to version v4.3.2 the ROM SAF is planning an upgrade of the NRT processing system on 24 May 2016. The change at EUMETSAT Headquarters is related to a new format and a new product processing facility which is still retrieving bending angles based on a geometrics optics approach (see http://www.eumetsat.int/website/home/News/DAT_3019929.html )[1]. Therefore the quality of the ROM SAF Level 2 products which consist of refractivities, temperature, specific humidity, and pressure will not change. The format of the ROM SAF netCDF and BUFR files will not change. Please let us know if you need a test dataset. A confirmation will be sent out after the upgrade.
