| Dear GRAS SAF data user Issued 2009-07-03 10:10 UTC: Concerning the outage 2009-07-01: Due to hardware problems in the GRAS SAF production chain no products were disseminated between instrument sensing times '2009-07-01 06:51:01 UTC' and '2009-07-01 10:51:05 UTC'. The missing products are available through the GARF website at http://garf.grassaf.org. Concerning the validation service at http://garf.grassaf.org: The GRAS SAF NRT monitoring is currently not producing the nominal output because of problems porting to a new computer system at the Met Office. Unfortunately this change in the monitoring coincided with problems with the Met Office observation database and MASS archiving system, hence I cannot re-run with the new monitoring for 30 days previous. The monitoring plots will not be reliable probably until Monday 6th (unless it can be fixed today). In particular, the period of monitoring is shortened, and for some cycles the incorrect background (24 hour out of date) were used, hence sometimes giving the impression of poor RO data quality.
