Outage of GRAS level 1b data

Dear GRAS SAF GTS User Issued 2009-09-10 07:45 UTC The GRAS SAF experienced an outage of GRAS level 1b data. No GRAS SAF products were disseminated between instrument sensing times 2009-09-09 15:59:31 UTC and 2009-09-09 17:35:57 UTC. The following message was received from Eumetsat --- snip --- Dear all, unfortunately, the EPS Ground Segment suffered from the loss of one orbit worth of data from all instruments on Metop-A earlier tonight. For GRAS, the low level data outage triggered a POD reset after the first data became available again. Thus, all higher level GRAS data products from 17:33 UTC (measurement times) onwards will be degraded for up to 8 hours (i.e. roughly until 01:30 UTC) and are flagged accordingly. As far as we are aware, all operational users have by now implemented the proper use of the GRAS product's quality flags, so we have decided not to interrupt the product dissemination this time. Please let us know if this policy introduces any problems on your side. We apologize for the inconvenience this POD reset might cause!
