Scheduled outage of GRAS level 1b data and degraded data

Dear GRAS SAF GTS User Issued: 2009-12-10 11:20 UTC We are experiencing an outage of GRAS SAF level 1b data starting at instrument sensing time 2009-12-10 09:05:52. No GRAS SAF products are currently disseminated. Please see message from EUMETSAT below. ---snip--- Subject: GRAS Parameter Updates and Manoeuvre - update Dear all, the good news about the planned update of the GRAS instrument parameters is that it went on fine on the instrument side. The bad news is that the short data gap due to the changes in the onboard settings of the instrument was not well liked by the operational processor which initiated another POD reset. As a consequence, the GRAS level 1b bending angle data is flagged as degraded from measurement times 08:48 UTC onwards for the rest of the day until about midnight. Note that this unusual long outage is related to the Metop manoeuvre scheduled for later this afternoon, which will extend the degraded period due to another necessary reset. In order not to distribute bad products from GRAS, we will stop the dissemination of GRAS level 1b products until the data quality has achieved nominal quality again at some time after the manoeuvre. I'll let you know when this happens.
