TYPE:   NRT-GTS
Description
Dear GRAS SAF GTS User Issued: 2010-03-15 09:42 UTC On Saturday, 2010-03-13, we experienced and increase in GRAS level 1 b products that were flagged as degraded. The disseminated GRAS SAF level 2 products were flagged accordingly. Please see message from Eumetsat below. --- snip --- Dear all, when going over the monitoring output from the last weekend, we realized that a GRAS POD reset had occured on Saturday, 13 March 2010, 02:18 UTC sensing time. Our statistics also reveals that the product quality went back to normal within 3 or 4 hours; but level 1 products have been flagged as containing bad bending angles for about 8 hours after the event. We are investigating the root cause for the problem. We do apologize for any inconvenience the degraded data quality might have caused. Chris. -- Dr. Christian Marquardt, Polar System Product Expert EUMETSAT, Am Kavalleriesand 31, D-64295 Darmstadt, Germany --- snip --- Kind Regards The GRAS SAF Team
