Description
Dear GRAS SAF GTS user Issued: 2010-07-13 08:30 UTC Due to a POD (Precise Orbit Determination) reset, GRAS SAF input data was slightly degraded at sensing times of approximately 2010-07-11 11:20 UTC and 2010-07-11 14:35 UTC. GRAS SAF data was flagged accordingly. Please see detailed message from EUMETSAT below. Kind regards The GRAS SAF Team Forwarded message: Subject: GRAS POD resets yesterday, 11 July 2010 From: Christian Marquardt Date: 2010-07-12 17:37 Dear all, unfortunately, I have to report two more POD (Precise Orbit Determination) resets which occurred during yesterday for sensing times around 11:20 and 14:35 UTC. Both resets were triggered by a cycle slip in the phase locked loop for the onboard clock; an issue we have seen on a few previous occasions before. Data quality has been slightly degraded, and the data has been flagged accordingly until about 19:00 UTC. We apologize for the inconvenience. Christian. -- Dr. Christian Marquardt, Polar System Product Expert EUMETSAT, Am Kavalleriesand 31, D-64295 Darmstadt, Germany
