| Dear GRAS SAF GTS user Issued 2011-04-13 09:30 UTC Yesterdays error notification was due to a false alarm in the GRAS SAF automatic monitoring system. The alarm was triggered by a drop in the input data stream after a period of above normal timeliness due to the test acquisition of global Metop-A data at the McMurdo station. The good news is that no occultations were lost, and that the end-to-end timeliness of the GRAS SAF products will benefit significantly from the acquisition of global Metop data at the McMurdo station For further detail on the McMurdo Metop data acquisition please see: http://www.eumetsat.int/Home/Main/News/ProductServiceNews/805204?l=en On an other note. Please notice that due to essential communications maintenance there will be a risk of outages of GRAS SAF data tomorrow, 2011-04-14 between 06:00 - 10:00 UTC Kind Regards The GRAS SAF Team |
