| Dear ROM SAF GTS User Issued: 2013-03-19 08:55 UTC Please see detailed message from EUMETSAT below concerning yesterdays outage. ROM SAF products were flagged accordingly. Kind regards The ROM SAF Team Forwarded Message: Subject:GRAS/Metop-A data outage on 18. March 2013 From: Christian Marquardt Date:2013-03-18 23:28 UTC Dear all, unfortunately, I have to report that no GRAS/Metop-A data was available between 18:12 and 19:06 UTC on 18th March 2013. After data was available again, the Precise Orbit Determination (POD) component of the operational processing went through a reset. By now, the POD is converging, but GRAS/Metop-A data will be flagged as containing degraded bending angle data until approximately 23:10 UTC. Downstream level 2 data (refractivity) provided by the ROM SAF is also affected. The cause for the level 0 data outage were problems in the data downlink at Svalbard where data from all Metop-A instruments got lost. We apologize for the inconvenience.
