DATE:   2014-08-28 06:01
TYPE:   NRT-GTS
Description
Dear ROM SAF GTS User

Issued 2014-08-28 06:00 UTC

Due to an anomaly in the delivery of auxiliary data, the GRAS level 1b products from Metop-A and Metop-B suffered from a reduced number of occultations between August 22 and August 25, 2014. Consequently the number of valid profiles from the ROM SAF products was reduced. For further details, please see email from EUMETSAT below.

With kind regards
The ROM SAF Team

Dear all,

between Friday, 22/08/2014, and yesterday, 25/08/2014 around 10:00 UTC, the GRAS level 1b products from both Metop-B and -A suffered from a reduced number of occultations. The data delivered still was of nominal quality, but the operational GRAS processors generated a large number of empty products for which no bufr products were generated.

The reason for the reduced number of successfully processed occultations is related to an anomaly in the delivery of auxiliary data which we are still investigating.

With our apologies,

Christian.
