NRT Notification Detail
| Outage of GRAS level 1b data

TYPE: NRT-GTS

| Description
|
| Dear GRAS SAF GTS user

Issued 2009-07-24 12:30 UTC

We are currently experiencing an outage of GRAS level 1b data. No GRAS
SAF products are currently disseminated.

Please see message from Eumetsat below.

---snip---
Dear all,

the GRAS Ground Support Network (GRAS GSN) which is responsible for
producing the precise orbits and clock error estimates for the satellites of
the GPS constellation unfortunately suffers from some problems that currently
prohibit the dissemination of their products.

As a consequence, the GRAS processing has now become impossible due to
the missing GPS constellation data. The last "good" measurements were
available for sensing times before 09:33:00 UTC today (24 July 2009).

In order to not send out rubbish, we have now stopped the dissemination of the
GRAS higher level data products to both Eumetcast and the GTS. Dissemination will
resume as soon as the problems at GSN have been fixed, and GRAS data quality
is nominal again.

Unfortunately, I'm currently not able to give an estimate on when this happen; I will
keep you informed as soon as I learn more about tze situation at GSN.

We apologize for the inconvenience,

 Chrstian Marquardt.
